ALASKA SLED DOG EXPERIENCE

Mushing is Alaska’s state sport, and there’s no better way to feel why than from behind a team in full stride. On our 1-Hour Alaska Sled Dog Experience, you’ll spend 45 minutes moving through the Arctic boreal forest with a team of dogs who live to run—and guides who know every one of them by name.

Our mushers have spent years on the trail, and it shows. They’ll share what life out here is really like, between the quiet stretches of forest and the happy commotion of dogs ready to go. You’ll also meet them up close, the true stars of the show, and every bit as glad to see you.

NOTE: Early in the season, the dogs pull a side-by-side UTV, the same rig we use to train them, so the run rolls on four wheels until the snow arrives. If it falls early, we’ll bring out the sleds sooner.

Highlights

  • Thrilling Ride: Experience the excitement of mushing through the autumn forest.
  • Meet the Musher: Learn all about the athletes carrying you through the forest from your experienced musher-guide.
  • Scenic Route: Travel through the boreal forest of the Arctic interior.
